Just wanted to thank the moderators for accepting me into this forum and to say a few words.
Last week I officially put a down payment on a Kemper head at Long and McQuade. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to get it. like many of you, I assume, I've been obsessively watching videos and reviews. just one question though, are the stock profiles awesome? I cant seem to find much about them. everyone seems to really love the profiles by the amp factory and others. my favorite tones are from players like george lynch, Paul Gilbert.... players like that. I've heard the Top jimi Soldano and modded marshall profiles and I'm blown away. are there any stock profiles that will get me in the ballpark?
Hey, everyone!

I'm sure you will find something you will like in the stock profiles, it may take you while to get through them!
Welcome.

The stock profiles are very authentic to the original amps, in sound and in feel. And, the Kemper Rig Packs (free downloads from the Kemper website) offer more free high quality sounds.
I suggest listening to the the above hundreds of rigs before you start buying sounds (you may find exactly what you want), and also before you start to tackle the 9000+ free rigs on the Rig Exchange.

Welcome to the forum!
Be sure to install Rig Manager when you get the KPA. It now has access to all the free rig packs that paults mentioned.

Welcome, Sheppard!
Congrats on the purchase, mate. I can feel your excitement and can relate to it very much.
Are you doing a lay-buy-instalment thing, and if so, how long will it be 'til you can get it? Otherwise I assume the downpayment was simply to help justify the retailer's placing the order.

thanks for the info. I will certainly download rig manager as soon as I inbox it. it's a layaway plan with L&M. I'm traveling the road many have traveled before and am selling my amp, pedals and 2 guitars So I can purchase it. something tells me I won't regret it!

Worst case scenario.... 6 months. I don't think I can make that though.... haha

Hey, that's not so bad.
I spent well over a year paying off a lay-buy for my (MOTU) interface upgrade, only to lose it in May last year when the wholesaler went belly-up and disappeared. Only one instalment remained. Had to start all over again, so hey, it could be a whole-lot worse, 'eh?

It's actually my last name, too. 93 for Doug Gilmour.. haha
Monkey man... that's so terrible to hear. I can only imagine how horrible that was.For the first little while, I'll simply be plugging in my headphones until I can afford another option... like powered speakers.
