On my laptop, I have a folder that contains nothing but different cabinets. How do I go about previewing them with rigs that I already have on my Kemper in my performances? And how do I just add them all to my Kemper so that I can swap out existing cabs in profiles for the ones in my collection in this folder?

DUMB QUESTION - How do I import new cabinets?
-
-
Nevermind, I think I figured it out. Anything that I want to reside on my profiler needs to just be dumped into the "Shared" folder of my USB stick and then imported from there, correct?
-
Put them on USB stick in \Shared folder, insert stick in KPA, import using 3rd soft button.
After import is complete choose your rig, long press CABINET, choose "Presets" and use BROWSE knob to preview your imported cabs.
-
CAB - Presets are Files with suffix .kipr and a size of 1 KB.
Store this files at the USB-Stick you normally use for KPA - in the directory "share" or simply in the root.
Plug in this USB stick in the running KPA in Browse mode.
Than your KPA hopefully will ask you what he can do for you. -
Thanks guys. All set now. Just imported 226 cabs. I've used the Kemper for over a year now and have never bothered to swap cabs. Some of the profiles I've been using already sound awesome. Can't wait to see what this does.

Get ready to spin that bloody BROWSE knob

I found a Marshall cab that just made what was already a nice MBritt profile, sound spectacular. I could be wrong but I THINK I read somewhere that Britt almost always uses the same cabs in his profiles (a 3rd power cab). So I can see how swapping out some cabs can work wonders.
Just when I thought I had the perfect tone, new cabs show me there is always room for improvement.

Don't get me started, Brother Skocz!

It's a whole-new world, really, and effectively multiplies your Rig count by the number of cabs you add, OhG.
EDIT: That said, I'm still not sold on swapping cabs out, probably 'cause I've installed too many and it's a fiddly affair; it's so-much easier to simply select another Rig.

I find changing cabs can be a quick EQ . For example on a fender deluxe, change to a Marshall 1x12 with a greenback Celestion. It gives it a nice crisp boost.

Where do I find new cabinets I can import into my kemper?
-
Do a web search for "free IRs". You'll see more of them than you likely will ever have time to audition.
-
Where would you go to download quick and easy ?
