Epic slow groove Joe, great tune. Bit of Alice In Chains in there... lovely!
Massive! What else can I say?

Thanks deadman42 , Alice in chains? I'll take that 😂

Thanks BayouTexan
Great epic track Franjoe30 ! Keep ‘em coming.
Thanks Per
New tune, The fighter
Hi there, i was trying something a tiny bit different tonight.
very atmospheric , Joe well done !
Simply brilliant Joe, those different parts of the tune go well along. Great intro sequence. And when the bass kicked in I was instantly back in my youth with Van Halen 1, Running With The Devil

Might be different but it still has that great Joe heavy riffing in places.

Great atmospheric sounds and super cool solo. Really interesting track.
If I were to nitpick, I think it’s time for you to grab a real bass. You’re outgrowing what ezbass can do for you, exposed like this it shows it’s flaws and that feel at odds with the phenomenal quality of your guitar playing.
I second Per on the bass, play your own lines on a real one, mighty fun , & killer tone with the KPA.
I do all my basses at the end of tracking the gits , before the vocals ans it always takes less than 5 min each time . Dan Dean and other bass packs are really great.
I love your exploration on this. I agree with Per about bass. You can do the tracks soooooo much faster with an instrument over those VSTs. Plus you add a human touch to it instead of perfect computerization. And you can explore lots of creative techniques. I think my cheap Squire bass works pretty well for the stuff I'm doing now. I'm sure you could do much better with it and not break the bank.
Thanks guys, it was a fun track to experiment with.
EZbass is a great, very quick solution when it comes to synchronising with EZdrummer beats and helps my heavy rhythm tracks sound deep and huge but i agree, it definitely has its limitations when exposed on its own. I dare say with a bit of work you could get it more human sounding but a real bass will usually sound better in these situations.
These tracks usually take me between an hour to an hour and a half to record, mix and master and EZdrummer/EZbass is a key part of my workflow to suit the time I have available. If I was ever recording with a band I’d get a bass player to do it justice.
In all honesty buying a bass would detract from me buying just one more guitar 😂 (n+1)
Ok, I'm pretty sure I read - Brilliant idea Per, I'm going to go out and buy a bass immediately as it' just a bigger guitar so it's like buying a new guitar only more. That's what you saw too guys, right?

😂😂😂😂 you read my mind Per
I bought a bass and it's a lot of fun plus my tunes really benefits from it.

New tune, Uncharted
Hi there, i wrote this this afternoon whilst my wife and daughter were out shopping. I used TAF Carolanne profile with a bit of ambient reverb and delay and the TAF Deizel profile on the heavier chorus sections. Its in Drop C
Really nice moody ballad Joe! You know what would make it sound better? I real bass guitar Now we gonna start the pressure on you.
This is good stuff, Joe!
But I do agree with Bayou Texan, get a real bass!
Cheers,

On the bass topic: I do own one bass guitarJoe for exactly what the folks here say - but I do not find it as super easy to get really tight and spot on bass lines out of it without practicing regularly... although I like the instrument and it is incredible fun to play around with it. Surely worth a try but I see your point in pragmatism for quick output...
What strikes me more is once again your "radio-ready song writing"! Put some nice vocals on it, polish the production and you're there. Impressive
