I've got all of The Wall and WYWH and most of DSOTM programmed, but after my rehearsal last Saturday I'm not confident that they translate properly to FRFR systems just yet. (I programmed them using my SRH940 headphones.) I want to make sure they sound right on my K10 before I start posting them. But I appreciate the interest!
-
I know I'm jonesing for them as well!
-
Sorry guys, but I just re-read The Amp Factory's T&Cs and it appears that users aren't allowed to share rigs based on Andy's profiles.
-
would be nice to have a way for you just to share the settings, where each person would still have to have the actual profile
because i would really dig some more floyd profiles!

Good idea!

There's a negotiable solution here.
Perhaps - You send them to Andy and he releases them as a "Floyd" pack.
However, he'll have to take into account how many of his Profiles you're actually using.
In other words, if you're only using one of his Hi Watt Profiles then he'll have to think about charging accordingly. -
OK
Guess what I just did?
8am in the morning and this thread inspired me to listen to my favourite (IMO, the greatest)) 17 minutes and 6 seconds of rock music ever.
Dogs...David Gilmour at his very best, the most inspiring guitar solos ever.

Completely agree, what a song this one!
And for the Floyd rigs, I plan to do some in the coming days, so I will let you know... -
I like the idea of posting settings. I'll think about what would be the best way to do that.
-
That would be great. I own the DR-103 pack from Andy. If you point out which profile, what effects and where it's tweaked the most it might be easy enough to set it up.

Good idea.
That's if the author of the commercial Profile allows you to share the settings, ,...and, this method requires that anyone wanting to try your settings has purchased the Profile pack that contains the Profile you're using.
Having said that, I'll use your settings, but with one of the free Profiles.
-
I just hope I can remember which patches are based on which profiles! I think I used the Clean, Clean+, Bee, Klon and Cranked variations. This could be challenging. The most reliable way to do this would be to send the patches to Andy to make them available to registered owners of his DR103 profiles. But I'll try to figure out some other way to share the non-amp settings, so long as I don't have to type everything out.
-
Couldn't you just post the rig with the amp and cab swapped out to alternate free components, and make note of your recommended commercial components on the forum?

This is the Way to go.

My time is limited these days. If it involves any reprogramming on my part, it may kill the whole sharing idea.
-
Andy should just allow the "Floyd" rigs to be shared and consider it an advert for his Profiles.
Or.
If these Floyd rigs are all based around the DR103 'Amp Factory' pack, then I'll pay the 4,99 GBP for the set of "Floyd Rigs".Send them to Andy and I'll buy them off his site.

Here's a Hi Watt DR103 1972 Profile by Rob Shanahan.

Give it a go and tell me if you like it. -
Burningyen,
Just curious if you used the "muffin" in your profiles? I can't seem to dial it in with the DR103. Any tips here or are you using a real Muff in front? -
I've been messing around with my Cornish G-2 profile and my Hiwatt profile....
I've changed the Cab to being 4x12 Fanes to try and get closer to Gilmours elusive tone ...I'll stick them on dropbox this evening and post you guys the link
Also tweaking the Amp compression makes a huge difference
