I love my Denon AH-D2000.

Budget?

I am very happy with my AKG 271 MKII - having the same situation as you.

Beyerdynamic DT100 or DT250's i use these and love em
-
The budget would be around 200 euro..i heard people talking about dt 770 bayerdynamic
-
my advice would be to go to a musicstore and check them out yourself. everyone's got a different aesthetic to sound, so what I like you might hate and vice versa,
-
which model should i buy to match with the kemper impedance?
-
any studio headphone will work with the KPA

Ciao Ale, I suggest, on top of your budget, to try also this (for the price it is really worth every money):
They are very useful to relax the ears sometimes since they are little, light and easier to bring with the KPA.
I tried several economics ones but I can assure that this set is the best for quality/price ever found and they cost only 15€ ... and the KPA sound fantastic throught them ... -

In OP's budget you can do better than the HD280s. I hear good things about the DT770s. I like my K550s. -
missed the budget - yes indeed you can do better

+1. Very accurate headphones. And alternatively whenn not recording, just shredding: Sennheiser HD250 Linear II for more (slightly exaggerated) bass response, gives the most tones more balls .Just saw this: http://www.thomann.de/de/akg_k…08ef4bde9af0449a1c2eeb84e don't know the phones but there's some positive reviews to be found.

Unless you have a specific need for a closed back design I suggest open back. They leak sound but are not as claustrophobic and can provide a flatter response.
All headphones will work with the KPA but not necessarily well. High impedance and certain coil designs that are hard to drive May require further amplification for optimal results. As an example I have a pair of 64 ohm AKG 702's that sound quite brittle through the KPA's dedicated headphone out but brilliant via the main outs then through a headphone amp.

I use the Sennheiser HD280 Pro and for the money the are awesome. I have never had a problem with the and they have excellent clarity. Just a thought…

Just need to pitch in again, I own a lot of headphones from cheap to expensive. The HD280's which I use when recording with a mic as they don't leak are adequate. But please try some open or semi open back in your price range first. I would start with AKG 240 semi opens.

Personal taste is key here. Both the 271 and the 770 are good cans. Bear in mind that there is a wider sonic difference within the Beyer than the AKG line. The best advice I give you is to go round friends that have both and test them. We have about a dozen AKG and half a dozen Beyers. They are all valid (as other brands of course). The 770 feel a bit bassier than the AKG 271. I personally prefer Beyer DT990 in that price range as I find them closer to the source but again it is personal preference....

I use DT 770 Beyerdynamic and find the very transparent
