Looks like the japanese Rosewood Telecaster Reissue. Beautiful guitar indeed ... with a still reasonable price tag.

Display MoreThanks for the warm welcome everybody. Lightbox was right it's an MIj RW reissue from 1985. I"ve put Bareknuckles pickups in and it sounds wonderful especially now KPA'ed. Also well spotted Don, Hobgoblin King Goblin, 6.6 on the Richter Scale.
I'm currently in a position you all know well ie having learnt how to dial it I'm astonished at how the good KPA sounds. It had it's first outing on monday to an amp freak friends house. He was dying to find fault with it, but was soon convinced. The highlight of the evening for me was hearing his huge Japanese archtop through the Kemper, you could hear every cubic inch of that massive body.

wow, is that a rosewood veneer, or is the body really one giant piece of rosewood?
I heard of these rosewood teles, but don't know anything about them, really
(I think I remember seeing a picture of George Harrison with one)
The one I held was solid rosewood....it weighed more than a (heavy) Les Paul!
