With all the work being done by these folks, I would be surprised if they were free. But to tell the truth, I dont mind if they are reasonably priced. Seems only fair.
And I definitely agree with you! Just wondering why the thread(s) have been opened here

[Blocked Image: http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e229/donelectro/MW1_3674blog07_zps45e3c412.jpg]A Les Paul with P90 pickups was used to set the amp module.
[Blocked Image: http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e229/donelectro/MW1_3730blog07_zps438394e2.jpg]The Profile has a Gain rating of '4' on the Kemper-Scale and a Definition of 8.2.
I'll record a few notes for you guys soon. -
Quote from Michael Wagener
Not quite sure how many profiles will make it into the first Michael Wagener RigPak, but there will be at least 10.
Reading this from the man himself makes me think that this could be a free teaser pack for future commercial rig packs.
On the other hand, it could be an indication for Kemper to release 2 or 3 free packs with some time between each release.
We'll see. Either way, it's great to get some. -
Right now (today) there's a Salvation Mods profile that really speaks to me although/because it shows EVERYTHING about your guitar playing.
I bought a Tele with MW while I was in Tennessee (more on that later) and that guitar with this profile is very, very gratifying, while at the same time it pushes you quite a bit as a player, since it translates all the little nuances mercilessly.now THAT's exactly what I'm looking for!! I've got a Cobra that I absolutely love the tone and feel of.. (two Anderson humbuckers) I've been tweaking a couple of profiles, for a while now, to get the amp attributes to respond to my touch... you know, sweet singing sparkle to crunchy growl without touching the volume knob.. just touch.. I love the way the Kemper can turn almost any amp profile into a axe wielding tone monster.
Back to the woodshed... time to break out that axe again and do some work..

Wow! What a great thread! I can't wait to try these profiles!!!
Thanks soooooooo much!!!

This is going to be epic! Any word on a release date, Don?
-
I second, any word on the release date?
Great Pic's also.
Gezza.

I can't believe you used P90's to capture those tones.
Wouldn't the noise come through the Profile.
I had a Guitar just like that sold it due to the noise of P90's.

You know that they make noiseless P90s, right?
Even if that guitar's got older ones, noise isn't going to matter anyway. The profile is just the amp, cab, and microphone. When you refine it afterward, the KPA is looking at your guitar signal and comparing it to the amp's output to get a better idea of how the amp distorts different parts of your signal, etc. You can use whatever guitar you want and it will only ever make a tiny difference in the profile you end up with.

P90s are fantstic pickups - probably my favourite kind, if I had to choose.
Fat, yet articulate, pretty much a best of between a HB and a more conventional SC.As was already pointed out - any noise picked up by the uh... pickups won't be part of the profile.
After all, the guitar plays no role in the profiling process itself, that's just the Profiler sending out it's test signal. The profile also works well with other SCs (Tele!) and HBs, by the way.
btw. it's not the pickups that are noisy - they just (again) uh... pick it up in a noisy environment.
(and hat can usually be canceled by rotating your chair until the noise goes away) -
Yeah, Talking about High Gain and P90's.
I do know they make noiseless, I love the tone of P90, just not the noise.
Can you please give us a release date?

Hello Don,
I was talking about my experience with a High Gain amp and P90's.
Now if I ask one time and say please, when do see this fantastic pack being release?
-
Press all you want, i don't think we're getting one. Be patient, i'm guessing it'll be worth it :).
Don, is there some heavier stuff going on? something '6'-ish on the Kemper scale (which is a great idea, by the way. It's scaled perfectly)?
