I personally think this is a great idea! I think lots of people out there would want album replicated profiles. I spend a lot of time at home comparing my guitar tones with the sounds from my favorite records. If someone were to put that effort forth ahead of time I think it would be worth spending some money. I see nothing wrong with creating profiles with specific guitars in mind, in fact I think that is key to people getting the best out of the profiles that they are using.
Commercial/Free Profile <=> Legendary Artist mapping???

Great thread idea! I encourage to include all profile makers as sources.

Yeah, whoever contributes will have to use his / her own profiles or rigs from the exchange.

The other solution would be to use a free profile then give the name and settings of the commercial profile you actually use. So the user will get all the FXs of the rig and will have to replace the amp profile by the good one he will have to buy of course.
The downside is that until you buy the profile you can't really know if it will work for you...

Good thinking, Pickster.

Great inputs guys. Keep the ideas coming...

Hey all. Just wanted to add a new one for all you Tool fans, the Aenima Crunch and Undertow rigs from Silent Underground (Daniel Waldmann on the Exchange) are AMAZING. I was going to post this last night but I got stuck playing these into the wee hours.

Is there a Robin Trower Bridge of Sighs anywhere?

What I like about the KPA is that it has reminded me how "dynamic" old tube amps were and I have rediscovered what I had forgotten about using the volume and tone controls.
Absolutely. And the KPA is more dynamic than all my tube amps. Even if I profile those...
Sorry - I can't contribute anything on-topic ... I always end up playing covers with my tone -
Bumping this thread since it's too good an idea to let die.

I did post a Trower rig a long time ago on the exchange. I have altered it so many times since then in my own rig - I can't recall what's online right now! I will tell you that certain amps and cabs work better for it than others and as everyone knows, The best tone really depends on what guitar you're using. I use my PRS and my music man majesty and whatever I've chosen right now sounds great with it.
I've added a distortion stomp to it for those heavier leads of his, and a morph where it morphs to the clean sound in bridge of sighs from the distorted intro. Delay is also an option as it really makes the ending spacey.
