I have a beef with how FX are shown on the KPA. They show generic names, such as "Wah Wah" - when there are 20 different Wah's available... same with Flangers, Chorus, you name it... the feature request I really would love is for the actual FX preset name to be displayed when you hold that magical white button down... telling you this is Wah - Dunlop Q position 1, or Univibe Trower (versus 'phaser') ... for example. Direct, functional, explicit names so you don't need to guess which FX it is. Please make this easier for all of us to know what effect is in use. Good idea or no?
Here's actually a new request (I believe) - FX names shown on KPA

Brand name have been disappearing from the Amp/profile names lately, so, my guess is they would not be appearing in FX names.
-
Love the idea, but I fear paults is right
-
Well I'm not really referring to brand names, but descriptive names. So if for example - Wah shows up, you know which one of the many already residing within the KPA they are referring to. This has nothing to do with brand names, but names already within and visible to all.

This goes along with all of the preset naming issues. If I have five different versions of any specific effect (and I do - example - wah with touch parameter), I would like to be able to name them separately and tweak them separately and be able to call them up and/or know exactly which one I am have stored with any given rig at any given time.

Exactly!

Good idea. You already can name presets of course, but it would be great to make names visible in the FX slots.

Right - my bad - its much more complex than just naming presets. You CAN edit and save a named preset but it will create a duplicate and not save the edits to the original preset.
In speaking of the larger issue than specifically what prsgary stated, its more about being able to edit and save an existing preset as a discrete preset AND having the name of the actual saved preset display appropriately. Its all tied together in terms of handling presets as discrete, individual entities on the Kemper, similar to how it manages profiles and performances.
I have faith in the team to solve this.

Hard to argue with that logic, Gary.

Thank you for stating that much more precisely than I flyingheelhook.

The more I used my Kemper, the more presets I saved. Especially input-presets for my different guitars, but the OP's FX setting preset name is a s important. Long-press input and you will *not* see which guitar is currently selected. This should really change. In the center of the display is so much room to display any preset name currently selected.
If you feel the same please press *like* on the very first post of this thread.

I have created such request not long ago - https://www.kemper-amps.com/fo…o-the-FX-settings-screen/
Is that what you desire?
