Hi guys,
First time I try recording with my new Kemper - and first time I post anything to this forum.
A little nerve wrecking to be honest, with all the monster players around here. So please be gentle with me, I'm just a hobbyist and I know I ain't no Eddie
Played through one of my favorite Van Halen tracks - Beautiful Girls:
I used the Top Jimi Brown Sound pack, VHII profile (of course?). I think the tone is OK, but still not quite there.
That's probably entirely my own fault though. I messed with the dials without fully knowing them yet, and as a result ruined the recorded tone a bit.
One thing that went particularly wrong was the amount of gain - and like an idiot I wasn't set up for re-amping!
All that should be fixed now, so I want to try another VH song soon and see how good I can get it with the option of re-amping during mixing.
All in all it was super fun to work with the Kemper though, can't wait to get started with the next thing
Cheers,
Kasper
