A new stomp like the Boss AC 3 or Mooer Acoustikar Pedal would be fine
Acoustic simulator stomp

I think there are already rigs from acoustic amps available.
Wouldn't that get you a better result than an AC-3? -
aren't we talking of two different things here. One simulates an accoustic guitar and the other simulates an accoustic amp. But having said this there are some rigs that sound pretty good on the Exchange. I do use them in my Setup for some accoustic Floyd Songs with Telecaster Pickups

You;re correct it;'s two different things but both for the benefit to achieve a acoustic sounding tone.

actually an amp designed for acoustic guitar is as sonically transparent as possible.
you can obtain a great transparent Profile by profiling a patch cable.
Now you have parameters like Definition, Compressor, Pick etc available -
There are some acoustic Sims on the RE (e.g. Bill Rubert, Djemass) also some Vendors offer.(e.g. Rampzone, Bert Meulendijk and some other) .

moved to commercial rigs

My request was just another stomp. The existing Acoustic profiles are "Amp" Profiles and there are also AC3 Profiles on RM.
An "Acoustic Stomp" is just another thing. Of course an acoustic stomp can never substitute an acoustic guitar, but an electric can sound more acoustic with it. -
I do not see the practical advantage of a AC - stomp instead of a profile.

You could use it to morph from acoustic guitar to electric guitar for example
But I also think for "static" sounds, a profile of an amp with acoustic simulation will do very good. -

I did this also with an acoustic rig
Anyway even with an AC-Stomp you have to tweak the profile to sound close to a Ac-Guitar. (But anyway just close) -
anyway, it would widen the tonal range of the KPA about one more step. It would...
