the day has come. I just sold my Kemper on reverb. It had nothing to do with me being unsatisfied, I absolutely loved it... it's just that with today's economy, I have to sell gear to obtain new gear.
The one thing I've learned from my experience is the fact that it's easy to get carried away with buying commercial profiles and best piece of advice I can give is buy from Matt Figurski. Basically every other profile I've used (that has any gain) has an annoying high end hiss thst can only be somewhat eq'd out. They're still usable but it's there. Matts simply doesn't. The guy is the best.
I'll definitely check in to see what's new every now and then. My brief but awesomw time with the kemper has been a blast. Thanks for all the great advice over the past few months.
Farewell, Kemper

All the best and maybe see you again!

Too bad, mate. Reality has bitten you, brother.
Hopefully you'll be back with a shiny-new Kemper one day, eh?
-
I did that once ...

I've thought about it many times as well, it's mostly convenience factor for me right now. I'm sure if i took the money i've invested in the Kemper + Profiles (agree on the carried away part, the power of microtransactions) i could get something i would like the sound of better, but not as versatile in playing, practicing, recording etc for sure.

I think the only way I would sell mine is if I found a deal on a mint toaster. I'm super happy with my rack version though.

You'll have to pry mine out of my cold, dead fingers.

I feel like it'll take years for me to get aquatinted with the factory rigs. I've been stuck on a particular plexi for a few weeks and don't have the urge yet to turn the browse knob.

I bought my kemper 4 weeks ago...so far so good. Impressive real amp tones...also I am really enjoying the forum here as everyone share profiles, tips, opinions etc. Nice!

Sorry to see you have to go Shep!!! It's been a blast and thank you for the shout out! You are a fun guy to work with!
