This is going to sound like a really dumb question. Normally my Kemper is away from the cab. Are there any concerns with placing a Kemper rack on top a guitar cabinet as you see with other amp heads? I have it in a Gator 4u rack case with a power conditioner. Should I be concerned with magnetic fields and the Kemper hardware or does the chassis have shielding? Thank you for your time.
Kemper device placement on cabinet

I have the unpowered toaster. Had it on top of a DXR10 for months, and recently on top of a Xitone MBritt powered cab.
No issues to report at all. -
I use the powered rack with a power conditioner in the same way you describe.
No issues and unless you stick you Kemper on top of a speaker I doubt its a concern...

... unless you stick you Kemper on top of a speaker I doubt its a concern...Can you explain what you mean by this?
-
I meant not on top of a cab but actually sitting on the speaker cone itself ( which you're not going to do!)...
-
I'v exactly the same case with conditioner and used it full power on a cab with no issues at all (see my stack on the left below).
There is some other thread here somewhere about the same question and from that I understood with toasters it's a complete different thing.
I was worried too since a real head is much heavier. But we play very loud and I had never issues.
On the longer term I don't know, maybe it might be harmfull on the longer term for components on the internal circuitboards because of the resonance it gets from the cab.......[Blocked Image: https://www.pitkings.nl/wp-content/uploads/BrainstormFestival_2017-11-03_20-16-11_001_TheMemoryRemains_DxO.png]

I was concerned with the vibration from low bass notes! I made a hard foam pad to cushion my kemper from the worst of the vibration!

But has it still enough grip? That's what I'm afraid for when doing that. Because then you would risk the case to slide off the cab, that's even worse.....
-
@MetalMauce, Yeah! Plenty of grip. Its in a Gator 6 unit case, sitting on a Marshall cab. The foam is just soft enough to deform slightly around the cab feet recesses and the rack. Actually makes it less slippy than just the hard rack case on speaker tolex! You can actually buy 'anti-slip' mesh for additional grip... never bothered!

Can you show us a picture of the foam? Now you got me interested

None to hand! I'll see if I can grab some tonite, but its a 'sandwich' of high density foam, used for seat pads at event venues, really dense!
-
I guess all equipment is susceptible to vibration but I struggle to believe the Kemper is going to get major problems. Never had an issue with a valve amp which are far more sensitive...
As far as it potentially falling off, I've also had no issues as it seems just heavy enough to stay put...plus I use a wireless so no chance of pulling it off! I'm just using a gator 4U shallow and not bothered with rubber feet or foam..

@MetalMauce Here you go! Not the best photo, but you get the idea!

Thanks for the picture, but it's still not clear to see the type of foam.
