incorporate Digitech Freqout into the Kemper, then you would have something that responds and reacts exactly like a real tube amplifier…
That beautiful controlled feedback you get from cranked Marshall…
Digitech Freqout !!!

I agree that an effect that allows legato, sustaining notes would be musically useful.

Yes, Please!

Don’t need it. I just have this funny thing in front of the kpa

It doesn't have to be a "clone" 'though.
As long as the code isn't usurped it wouldn't matter anyway.

Feedback generator wanted like the Digitech Freqout
I disagree strongly though about it making the Kemper respond and react a real tube amplifier.
This has been and always will be possible only with volume and moving air, and the Profiler hasn’t had any difficulties delivering this from day 1.
What the Freqout does (and how it sounds) is clearly different. -

I have powered KPA and I can achieve this directly into guitar cab easily,
BUT - Please share with me how to get that real amp feel and natural (cranked Marshall type) feedback when using "in ear monitors" only?
Any help would be appreciated!! -
@SQUAREHEAD Since you don’t use any onstage speaker, your most likely options at this point would be a Freqout, or adding a Sustainiac to your stage guitars.

Any help would be appreciated!!I often play with in ear monitoring myself. And I agree the Freqout helps immensely to get feedback that would otherwise not be achievable with inears.
But the best solution, even when playing with inears, when you need natural feedback bring a little cab that helps to move some air.
I love the Freqout as a great workaround but also for its capabilities to go 'beyond' what would be called natural feedback. -
-
I too use in ears and I think you still need some on stage monitoring for things like natural feedback..
I know nothing about the freq out, does it do more that just sustain/controlled feedback?
-
Well, it's not "real" feedback, obviously.
It generates new frequencies, much as an octaver does, allowing you to fade them in and out with the pedal.

This is where my interest would be - a new “next generation” Kemper effect that goes beyond a feedback simulator.
Exactly, as I mentioned in a similar thread recently you know Kemper would deliver the goods in spades. Would be pretty sweet.

There are many cool vids about the freqout. I love this littlebox, especially that you can choose between sutomatic mode and feedback by pressing the footswitch. With the footswich you have full control. Some here say that it is not a feedbackgenerator. I can say check it out. It is. There are so many opportunities and you can create nearly natural feedback. It depends on the setting and how to play.
-
It is awesome. Check out Franks ( @Eltzejupp) improv on Guido's site. He's done an excellent piece of playing with the new Angel profile set and you can hear him standing on the freqout. I love using it also with an ambient reverb/delay setting, sounds great.
It does have unnatural artefacts about it though, particularly the end of notes and if you slide notes at the end of the feedback.
I also agree Kemper would do a great job of this effect, modifying and improving on its usability.
