The "George Benson" octaves are a beautiful touch to a rather-brilliant, vibey piece brother.
-
Thanks Monkey_Man yeah it’s a great way to emphasize a short line and force you into a breathing pace.
-
It reminds me of Pink Panther sneaking around searching for the Little Man. It's got that vibe to it for me. Shows your overabundant creativity Per.

Heavens to Murgatroyd! Oh wrong pink cat, well BayouTexan Cato will be there to “protect” Clouseau I’m sure.
-
Short but sweet... until the end it sounds a bit like an intro to a more rocking piece... reminds me of some great dynamic Faith No More stuff back in the 90s

Too hot today to do more than this.

IMHO it'd help if you brought the vox forward and pushed the riddum geetar back; IOW, swap their places.
Make sense bro'? You want the guitar to accompany the vocals, not the other way around.
-
Yeah Monkey_Man good point, thanks you’re right, I continue to feel very awkward about my vocals so tend to not place them where vocals should go if they were good in a mix which is way up front.
-
I hear ya bro' and suspected as much.
'Tis a normal thing to feel that way.

The forward<->back / vox<->guitar relationship is much better bro'.
You might want to try backing off the vox 'verb and "substituting" / supplementing it with a bit of delay. I meant to say this long ago when the 'verb factor was much-too-strong (IMHO), but I still think a bit of this medicine might help.

Thanks Monkey_Man ok. I was torn on this track, the vocals sounded too dry, but also sounded alright enough once I double tracked them. I sometimes use a touch of space echo but this time opted for a plate verb. If I wanted full on Genesis here I’d have added a slap back something shorter than John Lennons ADT maybe it would sound better than manual double tracking.

Nice one Per, totally different genre again. Very romantic in the beginning That lead guitar sounds a bit sharp for me when it kicks in. No need for that as there is not much what would cover it and vice versa it again puts your vocals a bit too much back...
