Hi there, i wrote this riff a while back so wrote something around it today. I used the TAF - Blue Ton Cr2 profile in drop D tuning
-
And again here we go, Joe, with the great power of the riffing and massive wall of sound. Nice one, I like it as usual with your heavier tunes Joe. Punchy and well done

Meaty sounding riffs and great tasteful solo. I like the combo of is it synth or crystal delay with the chords? Sounds great, very evocative sounds. Nice job!

Hi Joe,
again great riff and massive sound!
-
Hot damn! Another great track that sounds so tight and impossibly together. I've been trying to get that sound on a few of my tunes, but no success. I'll have to get back to it and try again and again.
Cheers,

Now that the new series of Love island has started i'll be avoiding it by playing the guitar for the next ten weeks. Here is my new tune from night 1. It's an atmospheric type ballad i recorded using the TAF - MeBo Still Crnch-- profile in Drop C tuning.

Pretty Track Joe Is that Kemper FX?

Great tone & writing Joe, I can feel your pain with the show , far better being creative than brainwashed by TV : I don't even have a tv @ home.
-
I like the minimalist approach on the rhythm track. It's not as easy as one might think. It's easy to play fewer notes, yes, but then you need to make them sound more powerful. Good work, Joe!

Thanks MuddySludge, yes this is all the Kemper reverb and delay fx on each guitar track

Thanks waraba. Yes, giving up TV all together would mean i'd get lots more done

Thanks BayouTexan The rhythm tracks are just 1 track each, recorded individually and hard panned left and right. The fx on the profile and the bass give a good level of girth i find. I do like the new EZDrummer 3 "bright room/classic reverb" setting, it's my new favorite kit

I wrote this tonight, dare i say it's a bit punky/Blondie(ish) in places maybe? I used the same TAF profile as my last tune just dialled down the ambience a bit.
-
I don't hear Blondie but pretty much good in-your-face jamming. Are you using Saturation or Loudness plugins (similar to Softube and Loudmax)? I'm rendering my mixes with peaks to around -1.7db using those sparingly and with some compression, but your tracks are rendering maybe 3db louder than mine.
BTW, Keep it up and Don might "collect" you like Per. I hope I get collected.
