I don't see how undo/redo would accomplish this. If I have 4 stomps in use and want to swap their order, how would undo/redo help?
I was just thinking you could use the "undo/redo" to preview 2 effects in a different order, to decide which is best for you.
Thats all.
I thought you were talking about just auditioning the order, not changing the order on the fly.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.
The stomp ordering sequence can make big differences in the final sound (e.g., compressor before/after chorus, etc.). It would be nice to have a quick way to swap two stomps (for example switch A and B). This would allow the user to try different sequences with very little effort.
I believe the "undo/redo" feature will make this possible, when they get to it.
Hey guys I'm Mitch Malloy. Singer Songwriter all around tone dweeb and massive geek.
Welcome!
You are in the right place!
Be careful with the Soft Step. I had one for a short time and it was basically unusable due to the fact that the editor software is written with Max MSP and was incredibly buggy. If they've written proper drivers and editor software it may be OK now, but I was shocked to find out how pre-alpha it was even months after it had started shipping.
Thanks for the heads up on this.
I will do some intense research on this issue, before committing to the Soft Step.
I really loved the idea of each pad, also being a foot controller, plus the small size.
+1
I'm in also, if possible. Please & Thank You
What do you mean by dual? Stereo?
I am assuming sorefingers is referring to how, many pedalboard users (myself included) use 2 separate delay units.
One for a pristine (digital) slapback delay, and a second for a longer (analog type) delay with degrading repeats.
( or, the other way around, analog first, digital second, depending on preference. Either way, 2 separate delay units.)
Sorry, it has been there since Friday, without notice.

We've released a new public beta for version 1.0.9 just now.
The new version is called 1.0.9.7426 - It is identical to version 7415 but addresses a stability issue introduced in the first release of 1.0.9
have a good weekend, gs
It was posted on Friday, in the "FW. 1.0.9" thread.
We have actually found a flaw in 1.09 that causes loud aliasing in the amp at high gain settings. We will have an alternative 1.09 soon.
Thanks!
CK
Below is a quote from the "FW. 1.0.9" thread, which states this newer 1.0.9 version addresses a "stability issue".
So, I am guessing there will be yet another 1.0.9 version, that CK refers to in his quote above. Yes/No?

I really think the Kemper KPA is on that level, it is really a game changer.
I have used those exact words to describe the KPA many times, and the best part is, you will feel the same way 6 months from now.
The search is over.
Welcome Home
Somehow on the release notes it got forgotten that you can now import rigs without re-booting...
This is most excellent !!!
Many thanks to CK, and the Kemper Team.
Can you post pics of which knobs these are specifically and where did you buy them?

I think you have 2 excellent points there that cannot be stressed enough!
These are good points, and seeing as I am using a pedalboard along with the KPA, it won't make all that much of a difference to me with the effects on the top row.
So change my vote to ,
Effects top row.
Rigs (patches) bottom row.
This should make schneidas happy with the vote tally
Whatever CK decides to do, I will buy it.
Just grateful for being asked.
Three of you chosed the 6 button design with Fx buttons on the lower row.
This does not make too much sense, as this design can easily be done by 5 buttons per row, as seen earlier in this thread.
Can the three of you explain their vision?
Maybe I misunderstood.
I thought 5 buttons meant there would be 3 rows.
I just want the smallest footprint possible.
5 buttons is fine with me.
As far as FX on the bottom row, see below.
I agree with guitarnet70.

how can some of you guys want rigs in the middle? This would be way too awkward
Quote from guitarnet70It all depends how you're used to work. I tend rarely to change rig during a song, I instead prefer to use the volume on the guitar and the stomps
Thanks for putting that up here.
Nice to hear some pristine cleans out of the KPA.
Beautiful piece, reminds me of Bill Frisell (The King Of Tone, imho).
This is blasphemy!
No, this is Blasphemy [Blocked Image: http://files.thecatsite.com/images/smilies/drinking.gif] [Blocked Image: http://beerstreetjournal.com/images/2010/12/Weyerbacher-Blasphemy.png]
