It actually turns out Ikm not as stupid as I thought ( in this instance at least). The return to top of page button is available on the desktop version but isn’t there on iPad.

From a developer perspective, it gets really annoying when people constantly complain about things that are minimal, while the real bugs are being ironed out in a production deployment. I don't know how many people complained about the new forum, but I know the number isn't a very small number.

With an iPhone, tapping the top of the browser window returns to the top of the page. Does that work with an iPad, too?

Just wanted to say i think it was a bit overboard shutting the thread down, sorry to hear that you were annoyed Harry. I usually take a break when this happens and let off steam with my 9 string. But there is nothing wrong with all of us finding ways to be more friendly to each other, bah every one is an individual, common ground always wins , hopefully you and GS wont clash like this in future.
I like getting blind from beer not from bigger white spaces (just saying)
Edit thread is back up hopefully we can cheer Harry up (And yes i still understand what your saying too)

Ash, no problem, but if you don't clearly show that you find certain behaviors annoying, it will have no effect.
I think if someone has to maintain customer contact, then he should be polite and courteous.
If no one points this out, such behavior will only be intensified. (not really an advantage for Kemper)
Essential is however: 2 beer or not 2 beer. that is the question

I didn’t find the reply unfriendly but I know how text can sometimes not come across as intended.
The thread was opened again, so it’s all good by me.
Maybe a private message to GString would have been a better way to deal with this?

Closing a civil complaint thread for no legitimate reason (with or without a terse explanation) rarely works out well for the forum. Sometimes mods forget that. I'm glad they re-opened the thread, I do not understand the rationale behind the closure, all that does is stir up more s#!t, and the goal is the opposite.

Sad to say but 'unfriendly answers' is what I've come to expect from staff after my last few encounters with them both here and through the customer support network... and hence they are relatively worthless to me... until they aren't, of course!!
As far as the comment about getting this forum updated rather then getting the update out I'm sure these are 2 quite different departments and so there is no great mystery there. Closing the thread did seem rather premature, but the direction it was heading most likely set off some alarms.
