apologies for the inconvenience caused, everybody. we are having issues with our website, that's why it is under maintenance. due to a side effect, rig manager closes shortly after you launched it. here's workaround: disconnect from the internet and Rig Manager will start working again. i know, i's not ideal but things should be back to normal pretty soon.
thanks, gs

could you please forward this email to support to my attention?
thanks, gs -
Where do i go to change my password. I cant find anything to change my password. I have to keep getting a temp password.
you can change your name within the user settings. go to the mail kemper page, log in and you'll see your name on the upper right hand of the window once you scroll to the top. click on your name to change your password-

Real shame that the 'view all posts since last visit" has gone. This was a great feature in the old version that I used all the time.
The 'mark all threads as read' option is an OK workaround.. BUT.. it does not seem to be available in the Android version. Can this be fixed?
you will have to live with the way it is now. the forum is a commercial software. all we did was to run a major upgrade. we cannot implement things the way they were before and have an up-to-date forum. there is no special android version.

Please fix block function. Its not working now.
block function? -
But why do I have to login every time?
you don't. delete the browser cache and all "kemper-amps" cookies, make sure you tick the option to stay logged infer weeks when loggin in.

hi guys,
as you might realize, we have updated the forum. the new version should read much better on mobile devices.
as it turns out, we have lost about 12hrs worth of posts. apologies for any inconvenience caused, feel free to repost when appropriated.as a part of the update, pretty much ever database and setting got converted. if you find gremlins or things which don't work, don't hesitate to let us know.

ps. rig manager should sync again as well.

please contact support by email unless you found the reason already.
thanks, gs -
you're right, export via the menu is broke. you can still export by dragging the rigs in question to another location, for instance a folder on your desktop.
layne81: please contact support by email. we'll have a closer look.

i don't think the download is corrupt, you've downloaded it twice with the same result. any chance you can try to open the installer on another mac?
gs -
do you mean the installer doesn't open at all or doesn't finish installation?
gs -
Well, according to these terms (that we as RE users have acknowledged once) we would only be allowed to upload rigs that we have profiled ourselves when we interpret the AND as inclusive. If 'and' is interpreted as 'OR' which is also imaginable to me
the AND means that the uploader needs to be the author of both. but we are not totally strict in this regards. in my personal opinion, deriving a rig from two others, tweaking it and uploading it is okay under two conditions:
- the new creation must be worth the upload. "worth" in terms of the community really benefits from it because the blend is good enough to stand out.
- the author info of at least the profile (amp) and the cab have not been edited.in a way it is up to you all. the more redundant trash we all find in rig exchange, the longer it will take us to dig out the crown jewels. the more you VOTE for rigs, the the better this indicator becomes.

The end
on that topic, yes please. you want to end this discussion, right now and right here. my comment is the final comment. this board focuses on on-topic discussion.
thank you gentlemen!

Chuck used to already play the Profiler back in 1976.
no, chuck just looks at any amp and it instantly starts sounding like he wants it to. -
I think, the main point of nightlight wasn't the stomps and effects but the AMP, EQ, CAB parameters being altered after the profile had been made. And these can't get reversed as easy as you describe.
you're right, i see what he means now.

disable all stomps and effects (and whatever else comes to mind) and lock those. start previewing and enjoy the "raw" beauty of the untouched

where to/from is the traffic generated when RM goes onto the Net?
Do RM and the RE's remote database need to stay connected or share some information besides the direct downloading (/uploading?) of profiles I explicitly start?
Is there any check the site has to operate on my RM that would be at risk of failing if I keep some ports closed, or if I only open them when I download/upload something?
rig manager connects with the kemperamps website and uses HTTP requests.
gs -
No, i didn't contact the Support. Is this possible?
yes, contacting support is possible!
gs -
Just realized that it is possible to change all tags in RM.
you cannot change the author's name in rig manager. and if you select multiple rigs you get a warning before changes are applied to more than one rig. changing the author's name is only possible on the hardware.
gs -
we know about that and will address the problem in a future version.
