I just switched off my Kemper, but I'm gonna try them now!

The "ACE Superb Lead Clean" - yes
the "ACE Superb Lead" has a gain value of 3.0 - turn it up, if you want (and dare)
or try it with a Green Scream in frontalso check out the "ACE Klipper" with a simple treble booster: Tone 0 Volume +2.5
Thanks Don
Was just curious about the profile's name. Is it maybe his basic sound for adding distortion pedals?
It sounds very... clean herePS: No "clean" showing here in the name as well

This might be called the "Ballz to the Wallz Rock Pack"!
(really good ones here)But it's rightly called the "Ace" pack!
-
Killer Profiles in there

i was really looking forward to those after watching the video, but am i the only one that thinks they sound extreme dark/dull?
Tried them with my Gibson Les Paul...did not work any of those. He does play similar guitars or am i wrong? I mean mainly humbucker guitars...
i´m still a bit confused sound at beginning of the video was very good -
sound great with my les paul but I like'em dark. didn't he say they sounded like his amps in the room?
-
im listening on studio monitors hear...in my opinion not usuable in a mix without heavy EQing.
i have no regular les paul..mine has EMGs...but a EMG 81 is a very very bright Pickup
i dont want to say bad things about free stuff...im just wondering -
@Deadlightstudio
if you like the sounds in the video, then something on your end seems to be causing this. could it be the battery? forgetting to unplug the guitar for one night has killed batteries in my EMG81 guitar.
the Zilla rigs are indeed dark, but that's intentional to compliment the other cabinet when multi-tracking. the Klipp is also very dark, but it is a cool, unique amp. use the eq-ed version, or put a treble booster in front the non-eq-ed Klipp.

i checked with other profiles...everything was ok but maybe they simply do not fit to me.

Just a touch of Definition will make the trick

I've played around with bright recording vs dark of the LP and the bright is a bit brittle and harsh IMO.
These are very natural sounding with my Larrivee which I think of as LP Lite. Sort of the Church of England to Catholicism of guitars.
But that could be age and my hearing, which tends to find brighter tones unappealing. Sort of liking a Clarinet over a Violin if that makes sense.
-
I "hear" you dude...

I kind of like dull Profiles because it's easy to add some treble and presence to brighten them up, but sometimes with a too bright profile is harder to remove the brightness without losing some of the goodness I like about the profile.
Does that make sense?

i´m still a bit confused sound at beginning of the video was very goodI think the same. Dark and dull. Big curtain in front of most of the profiles. Headphones, Monitors, Amp+Speaker. I didn't dare to write this, because it is the same with M Britt's pack 1. 80% not usable for me. The whole forum hyped it so much. Maybe it's just a matter of taste. Maybe not. Curious to find out.

@Guitartone thank you
yes i get your point..its the same with gain. I like adding more than decreasing. But usually i let Eqs all at 12 o clock, i know that will not work with all guitars..
@Bluesman thats what i feel/hear. I cant believe he uses them for live or recording.
But a lot of people are happy with them, and thats a great thing..they will maybe not like the profiles i like -

I'm a strong believer in 'cut before boost'have you tried to simply roll of the bass a bit?
around -1.5 Bass in the EQ module can brighten up profiles... -
i get your point but i dont tweak profiles especially when they are to far away from what im looking for. Its not only enough treble, like bluesman says they sound covered to me. Simply not good miced - sorry

As one guy on the TGP forums used to tell me...
It's hosses, I say hosses, for cosses, Sir.
I borrowed the line because it made such an impact on me
Different guitars are different, so to speak. Might not be the profiles so much as the guitar that's being played through them. I've heard strats that sound dark or Gibsons that are less dark simply because that's the way the instrument was built.
Plus, EMGs might not be as bright as the pups on Ace's guitar, they have more of a scooped character, imho
Slightly OT, but I am totally enjoying my profiles through 2.7.3. I find that it's dialled off some low end and made the mids and highs more neutral, imo.

Hello Deadlightstudio.
I get it - you don't like the profiles, absolutely nothing wrong with personal preferences.
but
To call a very seasoned pro out on a technical errorSimply not good miced - sorry
is quite disrespectful and simply bad style.
Just to clarify:
Ace didn't make a few quick profiles for us, he made the profiles for his personal use live and in the studio - and was gracious enough to share them with all of you. -
like i said, i dont want to say bad things about free profiles. I just cant describe it different. Im sorry i dont want to be disrespectful.
But its always the same in this forum, you cant say critical stuff...also the chosen words do not count. The profiles from the workshop are the opposite, they are amazing..just for example.Again - sorry...just my opinion
