Hey Guys,
i finally got the cash together to afford a Kemper. I've been reading this forum for months now and it really helped me make up my mind. That and the fact, that I had the chance to play the Kemper for like 3 hours straight at Musikmesse.
I'm really glad that this awesome community exists and I never came across anything like it on a web thats mostly made up of trolls and 12 year olds telling yo mama jokes.
So get ready for annoying noob questions in the next couple of days
Cheers!
Just ordered my Kemper :-)

I allready dowloaded it to my phone and I read it on every train ride I take. So hopefully I won't annoy anyone. -

You should have waited for Kemper 2, it will be released right after you get yours....That's what I was thinking while waiting for delivery.
Best piece of gear I own by far and so glad I took the plunge. -

Hey guys,
got the Unit now since Wednesday and i totally love it. The Tones OMG :-D. It is far better than i ever thought. I'm trying to dive deeper into the unit and I'm spending 2-5 hours a day learining, reading manuals, just playing guitar on a preset I like and to get the effects dialed in, that i want.
I had a gig on friday but used my "old" gear. I got the next Gig one week from now on Monday and I'm planning to take the Kemper with me.
What I'm trying to do first is to get sounds that sound similar (or better) to my old setup, so that i have like 8 basic Rigs I can use.
The next gig is with my coverband so I gotta have quite the arsenal of tones with me.My old setup basically existed of a Brunetti XL-REVO II (which I'm selling if anyone from Germany is interested^^) and a Tubemeister 36. I used the Powerstage of the Brunetti and the Preamp stages of both and switched them with a Behringer FCB1010 and a G Lab MIDI 4x Loop. The Channels on both Amps can be switched via Midi too, so that was pretty handy. I also had a few Stompboxes, but mainly 2 of them were used regulary.
I kind of hope that I also can make my Strymon Pedals (Blue Sky, Mobius and Timeline) obsolete and make my Setup cleaner. I know I can use them with the Kemper if I want to, but maybe just 1 unit would be way easier to handle.Right now I'm thinking of switching the Kemper with the normal FCB1010 (without any mods) and keep switching the Strymons with it and have them locked up in the X slot. This way I still have full control of them and use my G Lab MIDI 4x Loop to switch stompboxes in front of the Amp (if I even have to use them). I haven't tried any Stomps in front of the Kemper yet, because most of my Gear is locked up in our reherseal room 50km away from me...
Let's just hope my girlfriend can handle the drastic cut in time spent with her
