Yes it is, the phase and bypass are really nice, expecially the bypass as the pots are taken out of the sound journey and it cleans up nicely. Almost acts like a bit of a boost.
The single coil split is ok but I don't really hear to much of a difference. Lovely sounding guitars.
I will say I sold my 2015 Gibson Traditional with a 50s neck to fund the second one which I preferred the feel and the weight off but that 50s neck was exhausting to play. The 60s slim taper neck is faster and less tiring, after 3 hours playing yesterday my hands felt like I hadn't even picked the guitar up.
I think my idea Gibson will be a none weight relief 60s slim taper neck with Burst Buckers in..... That's my next Gibson.
Whilst I do hightly recommend them do check the quality carefully. The red one is being sent back for an exchange as it snapped 3 high e strings in succession. The black one plays beautifully but the toggle switch is easy to knock out of the Rhythm position. I may not send it back though as I can get that fixed and may not get one that plays as well if I exchange it.

funny... You remind me when I was 20.. I definitely loved th 60's neck profile.
I add that some years later I've started to prefer the neck of 90's Les Paul Standard, something in between a 59 and a 60. . then I discoverd I'm at home with the R9 profile and now, sometimes I wish I had a 58 or 56 Baseball Neck. It seems the older I get, the Fatter I like it (it may sound a bit strange said like this)

Haha, that last sentence made me laugh. I am 44 and I have never liked the thinner necks (ibanez wizard necks make me feel like I am going to snap the guitar) but as I have gotten older, and possibly a little slower at lead, the smaller neck allows me to bridge the gap.
I am looking at a custom next too

thin Wizard like necks are the work of the devil ?
i’ve yet to manage to make a neck that’s too big. My last effort was a full blown early 50’s Fender baseball bat style. Didn’t quite nail it an ended up less than a full inch deep unfortunately. -

Well done, mate.
I like how the book-matched "knots" and fine-grain patterns above them make it look like an animal's face.

Cheers mate, im over the moon with it. I gave it my brother who also plays guitar for tips on what needs sorting and he came back saying it was perfect and the thinnest neck hes ever played
-
Better hang onto it then, mate.
Rare combination of looks and playability.

Same here. I have an R6 GT with a pretty thick neck and I prefer it to guitars with very slim necks. I adapt to necks, but the 59 neck is just the perfect one.

Do agree, although in a Rory Gallagher whim, took a sander to a strat...don't worry, its only a squier
That's okay. You get bonus points just for mentioning him.
Truth be told, I consider myself pretty accomplished at wearing out guitars and Levis all by myself.
After my own heart, although I love it when my jeans fade and yet still twitch when I get a nick on my guitar.

Many tanks V8guitar, much appreciated.
What do you think, vintage mint green pickguard? I'm not a massive fan of the tortoise shell.
All opinions are welcome!
-
Yeah I think so. I agree with you on the tortoise shell..
