I know the best way to avoid noise in a recording is to record carefully, but I was practising mixing and stumbled across a section where there was some unwanted feedback coming from each of the guitars in the track. My interest was piqued, so I tried all kinds of tricks to isolate and remove the sound, but nothing worked.
Would be great if there was something that would allow me to pinpoint the problem frequency and apply some kind of db cut at just that space, without killing the the rest of the track.
Here's the problematic track I was mixing, skip to the 0.30 mark to hear the annoying feedback sound. It's not screeching, like a squeak that pulsates.
