Hi All,
A new Frenchie here, i live near Paris....
I'm a new Profiler Stage owner (since saturday)
I play in a band and have been using a L6 firehawk (6 months) and a Helix LT (2 years).
In the begining, i didn't know anything about modelers, effects chains, 4CM and all those stuffs. So the learning curve and the way to understand how to obtain the sounds i was seeking was long and tricky . The Helix is a fantastic device but i've always missed something in the sound. My journey started with a DBR10 at home and/or i plug it into the mixing table for rehearsals/gigs.
I missed the AITR feeling, so i bought a L6 powercab and it really brings something else !
Nevertheless, always tweaking the parameters, always unsatisfied, the marshall sounds are good at home, too much boomy at rehearsal. The Twin, the same, Ok at home, too much harsh at rehearsal...
I've never thought about Kemper 'cause i need a pedal board and the pack price was too much expensive, furthermore, the devices apparences (the head and the rack) have always reminded me the science devices i had in classroom when i was a teenager....
I thought it was too complicated to use it.
After seeing Utube vids and seeing posts over the web, i've realised that it's not the case.... The Chain is pretty simple and corresponds to the way i use the Helix : simple preset without a lot of chains and effects....
So, i've tried the Stage and can't stop playing. What a sound !!! This is really what i was looking for !
Of course, there are some pacthes i dislike but when i find one i like, i just can play for hours !!!
I've tried it with the Powercab in FRFR raw position. I've tried it disable some cabinets and try the inside cabinet models, it's awesome too (sometimes better in this configuration).
I have a lot of questions but will see the posts and finish to read the manual if i can find my answers.
Only one for the moment , i want to buy the Mission pedal but i've understood that i won't be able to pass by from the volume control to the morph control. It seems i need to buy another one to have those separate controls from pedals...Is that really the case ?
