DVP-3 is the perfect pair for the Remote, I agree.
I don't even have a use for the switch on the Mission.I totally agree with you here Ingolf

Cool video, but why does the Kemper rep. assume "moron voice" every time he explains a customer request? "Der... we want a power amp! Der... we want a rack! Der... we want a floorboard!" Hope this isn't how they perceive their customer base. And if it is, maybe play it closer to the vest at a major marketing event!I found his characterization of Kemper customers quite offensive and insulting. YMMV.

I dont think this is how he has meant it to come across. Some times I think it's a language barrier thing and also the fact that he was saying what the customer wants we provide. The customer wanted a power rack, we make it happen, the user wanted a controller we make it happen. I think they were trying to show that they listen to their user base and respect theirs users need and try to give them what they want.

I think you guys are taking this guy's way of talking way too seriously! It's the products that we care about, not a guy at a trade show... the products speak for themselves, right? (Maybe we should just tune him out! LOL)
-
I'm sure it wasn't a serious representation of how they feel about their customers. If it were, they wouldn't have accommodated us! I agree it's just a minor language/culture gap thing and he was trying to be funny. No biggie either way. Sorry, didn't mean to stir things up!

I noticed that, too. I can't speak for the other guys, but, my smiley had something in his eye
See - he is all better now!

Im just responding to his vocal inflection and body language.
Of course this doesnt represent Kempers attitude toward its customers. Of course it doesnt change how much I enjoy using the Kemper.
Its just my observation on the communications style of an employee that seems a bit dysfunctional. Maybe get a more positive up beat person next time.

My observation from all the videos I've seen with him over the years is that John Huldt is a very nice, down to earth and positive guy with lots of humour. He's also a member of this forum with some great videos and excellent playing skill. IMO a very good demo representative for Kemper. I see myself as a relaxed person that is far from easily irritated or insulted and I would never think about putting forum members on my ignore list or show irritation with capital letters when things aren't exactly as I want.
I always have very high expectations for NAMM gear videos, but year after year they all always lack in both sound quality, ambient noise and leave too many questions unanswered. I'm perfectly ok with that. -
Ahh, i guess John Huldt is as cool and nice as the kemper staff. I think it´s important to take oneself not too seriously.
-
Maybe he'll stop by and argue with you...
"I'm not being condescending, I'm a nice guy, I try to be upbeat"
This is ridiculous. The focus should be on the product, not on how somehow talks or acts.
I'm sure the Remote will be well built. But come on, I'm talking about LED rings
-
Nope, no LED rigs, darn it!
-
OMG, really?!?
Are we talking about John Huldt? THE John Huldt?
Like the John Huldt "Guitarist of the Year" 2012 South Bay Music Awards, John Huldt? HELLO?!?Huldt is a REAL musician, not an actor or model.
He has a sense of humor and an easy going style.
And Kemper has asked him a few times to be a guest at NAMM.
And how lucky they (& we) are to have him represent this product!I think if you hang with musicians you will not interpret this video in the twisted way represented here by some.
If anyone is looking to be truly offended, just read where your fast food ingredients come from! Yuck!
At least THIS product is 100% Authentic and Healthy for you! (this advertisement paid for by the "Kemper is Nutritious Foundation") -

Nah, man. They really do resent their customers. I was at NAMM yesterday, I told John that I had a few hundred questions about the looper and he shoved me into a pile of Kemper Remote boxes and had security remove me from the premises......obviously Joking.

Still hitting the sauce there I see, Lackey.
First your double posting and now your blacking out and believing you have been assaulted by the Kemper staff.
I think its time to put the bottle down.

Khaki_lackey, are you in the Carolinas?

Yeah, I see you are as well! Did you pick that up from my user name? Only a Carolinean would get that. I'm in New Bern. -
My father is a truck driver and every time he would go down through the Carolinas that is what he called them.
I lived in in Kannapolis NC for about 5 years.
