Hey all, I don't usually post just to aplaude a company but the Kemper is really amazing, like so many have said it is. I have been through countless numbers of amps and even a couple axe fx's, while they sounded outstanding, I was always looking for something else. When I first got the powerhead I plugged in and was a bit disappointed with its lack of realism. Then I updated the firmware and that immediately helped. I later purchased a few profiles and that took it over the top. It feels like a real amp and sounds amazing. The amount of versatility is amazing and I could not imagine getting tired of it. Glad to be here

thanks guys, the learning curve is not too bad, much more intuitive than when I began with the axe fx standard...but with units like the axe fx and the Kemper its really hard to imagine going back to amps....especially for a guy that is not playing venues where I can open an amp up in volume that often. With the Kemper, you have those tones whether loud or at a friendly room level....awesome

Hello and welcome, got Thor fingers yet?

Welcome!
My experience in the beginning was similar to yours. A bit underwhelmed with the KPA the first few days, but as I spent more time with it, learned how to use it, kept up with the early FW revisions, and hunted down the right profiles for my ears, it just continued to impress. 2 years on and I can now say it's the best guitar amp related thing I've ever bought.
Enjoy.

Similar experience, thor1777. The irony is the few hours/days of warmup end up being a sustainable few years of high.
I rarely sing the laurels of a company too, but with this one it's hard to stop.
Feels like the chorus (or is that just a fancy second bridge?) of Michelle, haha.Oh, and WELCOME!

<p>totally agree with the positive thoughts, very inspiring piece of equipment, which leads to more playing and thats always a blessing<img alt="smiley" src="http://www.kemper-amps.com/forum/wcf/js/3rdParty/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/regular_smile.png" style="height:23px; width:23px" title="smiley" /></p>

Welcome, i also went through that process. I've only had the kemper for a couple days and i'd say the 1st day (and part of the 2nd) i regretted my purchase incredibly. But it got better little by little (by using other profiles and tweaking), up to the point where now i love the thing (just a few days later). Hope you find the sound you are looking for!
