Does Head/Rack has TYPE PUSH function?
No - this belongs into the stage list.

Well, it has found it's way into the Changelog for:
i just updated Rig Manger to Version 2.3.9 (14936) and let RM update my unpowered Kemper Toaster to 7.05 without problems. First time i did not need to use USB stick. MacBook Pro 2019 OSX 10.14.6. Great
s/pdif slave mode?!
I wonder what this is too.
I wonder what this is too.
The stage has an upgraded SPDIF chip that allows it to be connected in slave mode. This means that you can connect 2 Kempers to each other which is not possible with the head or rack.
The stage was marketed this way but after a lot of trial and error it turned out that Kemper simply had not yet activated this function in the software (without telling the buyers).
Now in 7.0.5 one month after release its ready but it doesn’t work for me. I’ve started a new thread to see if anyone can get it to work.
So this feature (spdif slave) won't be possible on Head and Rack Kempers?
no there's another Chip inside of the other KPA Models than Stage
If you mean for clocking purposes, I guess it is possible with a rack or head. As long you understand that clocking is limited to one direction.
The rack or head can only act as clock master, so any other device connected to it must be set to slave.

Why would you want to connect two Kempers using SPDIF? What are your objectives? You can just hook up two Kempers using an analog cable from direct or monitor output to your second Kemper.
Perhaps the second Kemper can be set up to mix digitally with the first - eg entry to the parallel path. This could be the mythical 2 amps in one KPA (gasp)!

To avoid the extra AD/DA conversion? That’s not really something I want to do right now but I’ve read some posts about this. Like Antipodes says to have the dual profile thing probably.
My problem is that I have to have the Kemper on to have sound on my Mac as it is controls the clock of my sound card. I can switch the setting of course but I always look to simplify my workflow. Setting the KPA to slave would solve that for me.
I've just realized when I try to edit an effect by pushing and holding the dedicated button, the preset names doesn't show up inside the "right box". When I turn the Browse button the preset name (on the right) is the same as the type (in the middle). I did this with many rigs and effects and I'm pretty sure I assigned dedicated presets. Don't know if it's an OS 7 issue (7.0.5.14942B)?
timo Kemper Support #1 I think Beat Detection(Scanner) is not working while holding TAP button directly(and with MIDI) on KPA rack with 7.0.5.
I sent a suport ticket but have no automatic replay as usual (SPAM folder checked).
What is this sorcery??
I have the toaster and have updated to 7.0.5. I tried to see if the toaster had the slave mode and I think it does. I set the clock to internal on my interface making it the master and the Toaster the slave and then set the project in Reaper to 48khz. The toaster is still showing 44.1khz in the output menu and I didn't touch any of the settings at all. The toaster had synced to the interface and I could record perfectly on a 48khz project. I don't know if this is a fluke but I thought I would mention it.

I really hope this isn't a bug.
CelticGibson , Nice Find! I can confirm S/PDIF clock slave works here too.
I would've thought the 7.0.5 changelog would've mentioned this for the Head and Rack also.
Thanks Kemper Team!
So it is auto?
It doesn't work for me.
If this is true I'm blown away. It'll actually determine which audio interface I buy and use as the primary one.
The default intelligent position is one of scepticism 'though, so I eagerly await an official statement. After all, in my thread on this topic a year ago Christoph himself Kindly cleared things up for me:
[Solved] Slave to Audio Clock (S/PDIF)
The Profiler cannot be slaved due to hardware restrictions.
Sorry about that!
Hi all,
Since I can't switch to the Operating System 7.0.5 Public Beta at the moment, I just want to thank all of you for your feedback here.
Thank you KPA team for the hard work and may the release come soon.
Cheers guys!

I can get this same result using OS6. Only it crackles every second, because it's not really synced. The green sync dot does not mean it is syncronized to an external device, but to its own internal clock (when the dropdown menu is set to "Internal").
