It's quite atmospheric! Touch of PF wonder to it.

Neptune Terminus really cool bro, the intro made me think of Mother Love Bone and by the end of it I was thinking Pink Floyd live in Pompeii, love it!
-
Thanks Mats_Nermark whippinpost91850 BayouTexan and deangersmith !
I was internally thinking more of Mastodon than PF! I guess the lower gain guitar and low orchestration makes for more of a 70's feel, I didn't even think about the shoe gaze/prog rock connection but I see how you get there from stuff like Mother Love Bone, Ride, Stone Roses and all the way back through Inspiral Carpets to Magnetic Fields.
-
Honestly never heard Mastodon music before so I had to choose someone I knew. PF still fits and much more tasteful.
BTW... Check out my remix of Crusades with some hard critiques guys.

Digging the 80's cop show theme on this groove.
I think the vibe you're thinking of is a typically-'70s cop-show / cop-movie one brother.
Me likey very-much too!
-
Thanks Monkey_Man ! You're right the influence was more 70's psychedelic soul.

Oh nice, the groove here just draws you right in and that clean guitar part is brilliant over the groove

Oh yeah! Well, I'm only 10 years late.

The guitar was dead on tone wise to that drum beat! I could almost anticipate the song as it played which makes it a radio star!

Thanks Franjoe30 and BayouTexan !

Thanks BayouTexan ! You can always start doing your own daily tracks.
I don't know if I could ever accomplish that, but one mix per week from me would be a nice goal to achieve.

Sure you can, if you can find an hour per day that’s all you need, less even. The only thing stopping you is your own lack of confidence, perfectionism.
If you want to rapidly progress then there is no faster way then being willing to make a fool of yourself. I set out to do a track per day for three reasons that became five over time.
1. I wanted a creative outlet from a not so creative anymore job.2. I needed to bring some discipline into my life and a musical routine seemed less likely to wear thin than an exercise one.
3. I wanted to learn how to be a better musician.
Over time I realized there’s a fourth reason, which comes about because of the artificial deadline of a daily track which after a while makes you throw your hands up in the air and go “it is what it is” because it’s more about process than result -
4. I wanted to overcome perfectionism.
And once you get that it in turn leads to the 5th reason to do this, because you stop caring about making mistakes, but instead get what you can from just the process of doing and that is
5. I wanted to get into a growth mindset.
Obviously it’s nice to be able to make complete tracks, it’s be nice to be a success too but that’s all byproduct. Focus less on the result and more on the process and really really let go of caring about making complete tracks and you will progress far quicker than by trying to “do it right” and gain a whole load of other benefits from introducing a routine into your life.
