I like it!

Tony is a very complete guy, a little faceless in your picture but not in the sound. Cool song, hit potential is high

Thanks BayouTexan & deadman42 !

Very-cool bro'.
Nice touch with the BVs and great contrasting vibe by dropping the geetar out for the verse.
-
Thanks buddy Monkey_Man ! I spent most of my time fine tuning a guitar sound for this one... of course only to drop it out entirely for a lot of the track
I wish I had a good voice, I feel like there's the genesis of something good in here. Maybe not with this arrangement or words, and definitely with a more developed structure. The nasty thing about music is that it's only as good as the weakest link, perhaps arrogantly I do think my guitar and bass playing is in "acceptable" range for the kinds of music I make, sure no-where near as good as most everyone else here or session musicians, but something that can be polished up with a few more takes to within range. And my superior drumming is frankly epic, who knew that after only 5 minutes I was a natural and would be up there with Purdy, Hal, Rich, Krupa, Chad and Taylor?!? It's almost like every time there's a new MIDI pack I am Keanu in the Matrix going "I know Zydeco", just that good, minus every single quality that make real drums awesome of course, apart form that - genius. But my vocals sound like someone is slowly strangling a particularly nasal and annoying schoolchild with a cat... in a cardboard box, so there's a 50/50 chance the cat is dead anyway which is possibly a blessing in schrodisguise.
Trouble is even if I could find a good vocalist it wouldn't work because I don't have time to faff. I need a new noodle out, every night!
Maybe I need to start outsourcing song completion to a decent band, they can run in the background. -

I see what you did there.
Your self-deprecating sense of humour is one of the reasons I like and support you brother. It's like looking in a mirror in many ways for me.
That aside, and I know this is standard advice for our "type", but try not to be too-hard on yourself bud.

@ Per this is absolutely epic, i was hooked from the first chord, you really need to finish this one and make it a full track
-
Nice, I agree, should be developed but I'm sure you'll come back to these tracks at some point and do just that.
-
Killer piece Per! Best one in the last weeks, very sound and with awesome groove and design of the sounds. Your voice actually fits super well in that, just the singing is not 100% spot on here and there when you don't hit the right notes on the higher side. But that would be something you could easily adjust with some more takes if you go beyond the noodle approach
-
pretty cool this one
have you considered taking vocal training with a pro ? I feel you're on a good track and I hear some improvements and great sense of experimentation with time.
-
Very smooth. It has a nice slow driving pace. Nice use of the trem slicer thingy. Again, I "per-fer" your vocals on this without reverb as on others. I think you are at your best this way.
-
I think it's cool as hell and making your artistic statement without reservation is the objective.
It helps to be brave or high to just go for it. Stay with it Killer.

Thanks Franjoe30 spottydog10 deadman42 waraba and MuddySludge
Yeah I probably should waraba it's just, well a combination of laziness at finding someone, cost and finding the time.
That's true MuddySludge easy to lose track of.

Instantly comes across as more-polished bro', but I think you know that.
Nice pace change for the bridge (or is that the chorus?). I also like the descending-note riff bringing in the verse. Very Toto-like that one.
-
Thanks Monkey_Man Yeah it is more polished however that's by pure chance sadly. I'll take the comparison to Steve
-
Hej Per,
I like this tapestry of guitar sounds.
As to the descending riff, I hear more Beatles than Toto but then Steve L has listened a lot to the Beatles so maybe I hear a bit of both.
Cheers,
Mats N

Excellent guitars and mix! You are improving.
