Shipment and customs costs from UK to service centre

Hi All,

Apologies if this is the wrong place for this

i have just been asked to send my Kemper back to the service centre in Germany

I am in the UK and have been advised by Kemper support that the customs costs will be around £150

Carrier quotes are around £50 on the first site i have checked

has anyone had any recent experience with shipping Kempers back from the UK and if so what were the real costs with customs at the moment?

Also any advise on best and cheapest carrier service would be really helpful

At that price it's worth taking a holiday to Germany and sampling their fine beer, whilst the unit is being repaired.

Unfortunately, post BREXIT the UK Gov have made everything so complicated that virtually no one ever completes the correct paperwork so consumers end up getting stiffed for extra tax. This forum isn’t the place for a political rant so I’ll leave it at that.
