I already tried that... with not so great success.
Answer of wife: "How many shoes can I buy now, ALONE for the price of your latest guitar? How much did it cost again, that MusicMan thing? Wasn't that a few hundred bucks?"
No, I didn't say: "You mean a few thousand bucks, honey!"
(...we usually tell the ladies ...lets say... a little bit rounded off prices, don't we)
Me: "I can't remember exactly. But it was on sale! Biiig savings! I can sell it for twice in 5 years, blabla...."
In the end the it cost me a dinner and only 2 pairs of shoes ...
This is rapidly becoming my only guitar:

I asked Carol at Bailey Guitars to let me do a few weekends over 18 months to learn to build one. May see you on a course when all this C-19 issues have gone.
I would love to do an archtop with Mark but I don’t see it happening in the foreseeable future.
i’ve just finished 1st year (early due to Covid 19) on my 3 year college course on stringed instrument making. Years 2 and 3 are an HND. I’m planning on doing 2 more acoustics next year possible another OM style and a classical or maybe 2 OMs to experiment with the differences between 12 and 14 fret joints.
in 3rd year I’m thinking of doing an ergonomic fanned fret acoustic and an archtop.
in the meantime I’m just butchering electrics at home. You should see my latest Tele; the CockUpCaster ????

So how many is too many? Had this debate when I bought my Gretsch. She asked are you going to sell one? I said but which one, its like choosing which child you prefer. I also have a reasonable quantity but not quality so my excuse is they are not worth much anyway to sell off so...
BTW I have 22...
22 Children ????
Do you not have TV
