Loving the console! And the three Kempers (where's the Stage)?
nightlight stage is what I use in my band so it’s in my live rig

Very nice studio, Raoul. Looks very good and I especially like the ambient lights. Creates that kind of dark atmosphere which I like a lot for creative work.
Just out of curiosity (and because I am a bit jealous What is the reason for not one, not two, but three Kempers in the studio. I understand the redundancy, i.e. two of them, when you need to make sure that a production process is not stopped by a defective unit (...defective Kemper? Ha ha ha... #germanengineering... rarely hear that there are any serious problems with the Kemper). Do you use it in different signal chains or are you recording more than one guitar/bass etc. in parallel?
Thanks deadman42
Ok here is my explanation for the 3 KPA’s
My first KPA was the toaster which I used to take out gigging with me every weekend. I got fed up unplugging it back and forth so I brought KPA number 2 to have as my live rig(rackmount) and leave the toaster in the studio. Then I decided I needed 2 KPA’s in the studio for dual profiles when recording bands live when they played together. So KPA number 3 was brought. 1 rack and toaster in the studio and 1 rack KPA in my live rig. Then............. Kemper release the stage and I think damn my live rig could be even smaller so I purchase the stage to use live and put my live rack in the studio.
Having 3 is great, bands can perform live in the studio each guitarist using a KPA each and even the bass player can use a KPA. Plus like you mentioned if a KPA goes down. I have plenty of back ups.
Thanks for the explanation Raoul, really a great set up there in your studio
All the best...
I just shifted house to a bigger apartment, so I was able to redo my studio in a way that I think makes it acoustically the best possible within my budget.
Congratulations @nightlight, looks aweome, very inspiring! Nice collection of great amps, I used to be an ENGL guy for decades before fully switching to the Kemper
So enjoy your new room! Looking forward to nice recordings...
Nice one, AJ.
Looks like the mechanical-drumming gear's not set up; have you ditched it?

Sold it last year, Nicky. Wasn't getting enough use out of them and figured if I was using programmed drums, I might as well just use samples directly. Didn't lose too much money, pretty much sold at cost, so it was a harmless experiment.
Great setup Arvind and that wall of hi gain amp is sure inspiring.

Thanks, Renaud. Thanks to the layout of this room, it's easier to profile, because I can just move two feet and toggle knobs, whereas in the old room, I had to get up and walk five feet into this weird cul-de-sac between my iso booth and the wall where I had stacked the amps.

Same here...I ran a powerball and Invader for years as well. guess what? My main profiles are ENGL's
nightlight looks great dude!

Thanks, man! I actually moved to a bigger place, so I now have a separate room for my acoustic
kit and an amp and iso cab that doubles up as a guest bedroom. This is it.
Studio is a work in progress. Forgive the ugly ass rug, it is from the last owner of the house.
lookin good
how you doin live drums in an apartment
I'm using RTom Black Holes. That keeps the volume low enough not to disturb the neighbours, while also allowing me to hear all the kit pieces unlike rubber pads. It's actually a pretty nifty solution that I prefer to mesh heads because you hear the actual drum sounds about 80 per cent lower, I was really impressed.
Also Zildjian low volume cymbals.
I hope to incorporate one more high tom into the setup and maybe a second floor tom.
The eventual plan is to incorporate a Yamaha EAD-10 into the system and record the kit using that. Then bring the wav files to the computer and use something like Drum Tracker to convert the notes into midi so that I can use those to trigger Superior Drummer.
My office needs vacuuming......
......but the rug really ties the room together

I spot a Marshall power amp in the rack! What else is in there?
